The following compressed and uuencoded PostScript file contains 2 articles. 1) A File Server Directory Tree Hierarchy ABSTRACT: This article explains a strategy which can be used by the Local System Administrator (LSA) when creating the directory tree on a file server. The strategy has been developed for a heterogeneous file server supporting multiple architectures, multiple OS versions, multiple window systems and multiple revisions of each software product. 2) Using The NFS Automounter ABSTRACT: Normally you would need to edit all your NFS client's /etc/fstab files so that the correct NFS file systems get mounted. But id you use the automounter you can leave them as they are after the clients have been created. The article explains how to make use of the Automounter with the directory hierarchy presented in the previous article. I would appreciate if you took some of your time and read this paper. I just thought that I should send this out on net news to get opinions and or ideas if and how things could be done differently. If you have other interesting papers please send them to me. Thank You.
