Unfortunately this is a very typical Slovenian train nowadays - all covered with graffiti shit.
The class 813 is a rebuilt version of earlier class 813/814/815-0, built by Fiat in Italy since 1973. These current
ones are heavily rebuilt by TVT in Slovenia and they have for example received totally new driver's cabs which are
straightforward copies of the German DB class 614 trains.

This train is a rarity in two senses. Firstly it is of a type which used to be quite common
during the old communist times, but which is in its old, unmodified, original state an absolute rarity in modern Slovenia.
And secondly as it is quite rare to spot a regional train in Slovenia which is not totally spoiled by covering
graffiti. This one is a pearl :-) The train, a class 813/814 pair was made by Fiat in Italy in 1973-76 and it is
almost identical with the Italian Trenitalia class ALn668 which it is based on. It is a two coach diesel multiple
unit for regional traffic, with a top speed of 100 km/h and a very modest power rating of only 294 kW. This train
is still one of the so called "zero" series, numbers 814-0xx. Most of these trains were later heavily modernised
and they today look more like the German class 614 with totally new front parts and new doors. But this is still
one of the original ones - except for the small air conditioning apparatus on top of the driver's cab, which
certainly wasn't there during communist times. Also during communist times, these trains were dark green. But
nevertheless, I was really happy to get this picture. Compare with the picture above, which shows the same train
after a thorough refurbishment and after receiving new drivers cabs, doors etc. Hard to believe it is the same train,
but it is.

Its hard to believe, but this is the same train as in the picture above. And you wouldn't
believe it either, here is again a Slovenian regional train WITHOUT graffiti. WH-hhohhoo!!! This is what the class
813-814 trains look like after modification but before smudging by graffiti. No, it doesn't look like the Fiat above,
but still it is the same train.

A very typical Slovenian train, two pairs of 813-814 class diesels, is approaching a very
small station. From the sleepy looks of the place it's hard to see that this track used to be before the first
world war the most important train line, the central artery from Central Austria and Wien towards the sea coast and Trieste,
which at that time was an Austrian harbor. The picture is from the very mountainous region above Bled.

A short moment later after the picture above was taken, another train arrived from downhill.
The station of Bled, just slightly downhill from Podhom, is the place where the trains regularly meet. This time it was
just one class 813-814 pair.

Light freight locomotive of the class 643 nicknamed "Djurica". These French machines date back to the year 1967
and they are similar to the French SNCF's class BB 463400. They were produced under license by the company Đuro Đaković in Slavonski Brod.
This one was made in 1977.

A Slovenian railways class 664 diesel is bringing a container train to the station of Pragersko.
The huge class 664 is a US design and is known in Slovenia by the nickname "Reagan". As a political PR campaign the USA
granted what was then Yugoslavia a license to build these US machines. The design is from General Motors EMD division
and they were built by the Đuro Đaković factory in 20 copies in 1984. It is a huge machine weighing 103 tons. Top speed is
124 km/h and the power rating is 1617 kW. Its prime motor is the type EMD 16-645E. Fuel tank takes 2840 litres of
diesel fuel. Originally the type was called Yugoslav Railways JŽ 664-1.
