The class 2240 train no 2259 is a remarkably ugly train. It operates on 25 kV AC on the Iberian 1668 mm broad gauge

The class 3400 is nowadays the most common type on the suburban train network of Porto. These new trains are built by

In 2012 these same class 3400 trains did not yet have large and clear stickers showing their numbers in the front of the train.

Another class 3400 unit is arriving at Porto São Bento station. The front of the train bears some resemblance with German
class Br 442 trains of the Bombardier Talent 2 family - which is not surprising, since both types come from Bombardier.

These red-headed class 2300/2400 electric multiple units are today typical of the suburban traffic around Lisbon. They were built by Sorefame and Siemens

These double decker electric multiple units are in CP's commuter service since 1999. It is called class CP 3500 and CP has 12+18 of them in use,
some green and white, some red as in here. Its top speed is 140 km/h.
