All you need to do is have the magic pumpkin in your inventory outside the maze. Because the actions of VPD and Granta are randomized and interfere with your actions, a normal walkthrough won't be of much help.
The simplest way to "win" is simply to wait outside the maze until Granta drops the pumpkin there, then pick it up.
You might also try heading straight to the locked door in the Leather room, wait until someone unlocks it, then rush in, pick up the pumpkin, and head back to the start. If you're lucky, maybe Granta won't attack you, or her attacks will fail en route.
The primary puzzle is getting a light source past a guard; you should find the glowstick on your third turn in the (one-room) maze.

More of an exercise in ambience than a game. Examine the pumpkin, people, masks, curtain, and food. Wander and wait around; there are several interesting random events. But you can't really do anything except walk around and talk to Nishat. The game ends when you tell her that you’re leaving tomorrow.
