II SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
Processor
As a minimum, you'll need a fast processor, preferably a Pentium processor (90Mhz) with at least 16 Megabytes of RAM, to use SuperSaver effectively. Although it will work on a slower system, like a 486, the performance is not as good. In general, the faster your processor is, and the more RAM you have, the better the performance will be.

Color System
Depending on the types of images you display in your screensaver, you should use the appropriate Color setting. 16 bit high Color (not to be confused with 16 colors, or 1 bit), or 24 bit true color are best, but a system using 256 colors will also give good results.

Platform
SuperSaver runs equally well on Windows 98 or Windows 95. But it does not run on earlier versions of Windows. It should perform equally well on Windows 2000, but has not been tested on this system at this writing.

III. Installing SuperSaver on your Computer

SuperSaver is designed for use on a computer running under Windows 98 or 95. Do not install SuperSaver in Windows 3.1.

Please ensure that you have the latest revision copy, for best results. New revisions are uploaded to the woltec homepage (http://www.woltec.com) as soon as they are completed. They can be identified by the Revision No. appearing in the "About" tab, just below the icon. It is the date code - ddmmyy. For example: Rev: 121101 is read as Nov. 12, 2001.

Before you can use SuperSaver you have to run the setup program in Windows 95 or Windows 98 so it will work properly on your computer. You can install SuperSaver as often as you like. Do it by using the setup program provided. The setup program unpacks the program files and copies them to your working directory. Screensaver files (*.scr) are usually located in the main Windows directory. That's where you'll find "Ssaver12.scr", which is what the executable file is named.

Here's how to install SuperSaver :

    1. Start Windows 95/98.

    2. Locate the SuperSaver installation files on your computer.

SuperSaver comes packed in a zipped, compressed file called "ssuper12.zip" If you downloaded the file over the internet, look for it in the directory into which you downloaded it. If you received it via E-mail, look in the e-mail directory, or in the directory which you designated as the destination for e-mail attachments.

    3. Use a progran such as "PKUNZIP" to decompress the files to the installation directory.

    4. You can start the installation process by clicking on "SETUP.EXE" in Windows Explorer, or you can follow steps 5 to 6, below.

    5. From the START menu, select RUN to open the File Run Dialog Box.

    6. Enter the Command Line in the dialog box that will run the SuperSaver setup program. This is the full pathname of the SuperSaver setup program "SETUP.EXE". Use the "Browse" feature to locate this file.

If you copied the setup program to floppy Drive "A", type:
	    A:\SETUP
If your floppy disk goes in your Drive "B", type:
	    B:\SETUP

	Click the OK" command button.

     7. When the setup program loads, just follow the prompts. It will suggest "C:\Program Files\ssuper" as the default destination directory into which the progam will be installed. Choose a different directory if you wish. This directory is reserved for the Readme file, Install and Uninstall applications. The main file, ssuper12.scr will be installed in the Windows Directory.

     8. The SuperSaver Setup program will unpack the necessary files and place them into the selected directory.

     9. The setup program will notify you when the installation is complete.

Setting up SuperSaver as your default screensaver:

After completing the installation procedure described above, click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop, then click "Control Panel", then click "Display". Select the "Screen Saver" tab, and scroll down the list of available screensavers until you find "SuperSaver". Select this as your default screensaver. You can also make changes to the settings at this time and preview the slides and music selections.

SuperSaver was designed to run as a screensaver and also as a normal EXE program, so it could be used to show slides and play music when not being used as a screensaver. All the information you need to run it in the dual mode is to be found in the application once you have installed in on your computer.
