can anyone help me with these problems?

i downloaded zip.sh.Z & the compiled inform files curses.z3, dejavu.z3,
shell.z3 & hellow.z3 from ftp.gmd.de.

on compiling zip (sunos 4.1.2 on a sparcstation ipx) i got errors:

  "text.c", line 445: no automatic aggregate initialization
  "text.c", line 445: illegal lhs of assignment operator
  "text.c", line 445: warning: illegal combination of pointer and integer, op =
  "text.c", line 445: illegal lhs of assignment operator

  "text.c", line 471: auto variable xlat has size 0
  "text.c", line 471: no automatic aggregate initialization
  "text.c", line 471: illegal lhs of assignment operator

however, switching to gcc (2.4.5) meant zip compiled successfully.

the problem is now that in dejavu & shell, if i type "say hello" i
get a segmentation fault. gcc 2.4.5 reports that the problem is in
load_property_length().

any ideas?

thanks
