BERKELEY, CA. 28 SEPTEMBER 1996 -- A FAN OF INTERACTIVE FICTION was found
dead on the Berkeley campus earlier this morning. Police found the `NEW
GAMES' section of SPAG Issue 1 lodged in his throat. Foul play is suspected.
The fan had earlier this week posted a sarcastic comment on IF vaporware to
the rec.arts.int-fiction newsgroup. The fan's family have asked that his
name not be released, for fear of further reprisals against the family.
