I've uploaded it. Changes in this version:

Changed the save file format to be machine-independent (and compatible
with JZip.) This means that *this version will not read save files created
with XZip 1.4*, if you are on a little-endian machine. (Such as
x86/Linux, or DECstation.)

(No, this version doesn't do RLE-compressed save files.)

Added support for international / accented characters.

Fixed bug in signed division and modulo operations.

Added PICKLE support, not that anyone cares. It still doesn't support
graphics or sound.

The Makefile is slightly rearranged. You'll have to define either
BIG_ENDIAN or LITTLE_ENDIAN. I've put those flags in the SYSTEMFLAGS
lines for each system, to make life easier. But I don't know the correct
settings for all systems. Please email me if you know anything that will
make porting easier. Particularly if you know the RS6000/AIX equivalent
of fd_set, FD_SET, and FD_ZERO.

Also -- the division/modulo test program, testdiv.z5, has been moved to
/if-archive/infocom/compilers/inform5.5/examples. (Not that it isn't
equally relevant to Inform 6. :-)
