I'd be grateful if someone could answer the following questions about Inform:

1.) Is there a function to temporarily erase the status line? I'm wondering
because I opening screen that asks the player if they want to
restore (as the intro is rather long), and I don't want the status line
    to appear here.

2.) Is there a sure-fire way to extend the status line all the way across the
screen (mine ends one space from the edge) without having it screw up on
    obscure ZIP interpreters?

3.) How would you implement a variable "third" to act similarly to "noun" and
"second," so you can have three nouns in a command instead of two? (A
major puzzle in my current project requires this.)

4.) Can the "Ask" verb be modified so that it refers to an object, rather than
a "special_word"? If so, will it work even if the object is not present
in the same room as the player?

Thanx in advance.
