sim is an X Windows simulator for the instruction execution of the Motorola 68000 microprocessor. asm is an accompanying 68000 assembler. Xsim68k contains two directories. 68ksim is the simulator directory and 68kasm is the assembler directory. To extract these directories uncompress them then untar them. Now run make on each directory to create the sim and the asm program. Documentation is provided in postcript format in simdoc.ps. One peculiarity of the simulator program is the file SI_data. This file must be placed in the directory /usr/local/lib at the moment. You can alter the pathname to this file in SI.h before running make if you wish.
