Subject: Neon Xformer CT

The ONLY reasons the neon secondary is centertap ground are:

 1) It reduces the voltage potential between the secondary terminals
and the transformer case. In the case of a 15 KV transformer each
terminal is only 7500 volts in relation to the case.

 2) SAFETY! In case there is a leakage or short between the secondary
winding and the case, it prevents the case from becoming "HOT"

It has NOTHING to do with interference reduction, in a Tesla coil circuit
not using the center tap as RF AND AC ground is inviting death to the
transformer as well as a serious safety hazzard to the operator.
