The XingSound MPEG Audio Player appears. You can now use the XingSound MPEG Audio Player as described in the program's on-line help. **************************************************************************** IMPORTANT NOTE REGARDING PLAYBACK QUALITY This freely-distributable version of the XingSound MPEG Audio Player uses a lower-precision, software-only MPEG decoder; i.e., MPEG data is decoded by the XingSound software and sent to your PC's audio board via your Windows audio driver. This process achieves only lower-quality, monaural audio playback. To achieve high-quality, stereo playback, the retail version of XingSound uses a DSP decoder; i.e., MPEG data is sent directly to a compatible audio board (i.e., an audio board equipped with an Analog Device's 2115 DSP chip) where the DSP chip decodes the MPEG data. ****************************************************************************
